Prof. Dr. Haga Elimam is a Professor of Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development in the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Administration, King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She serves as an Academic Advisor for Graduate Students and has extensive experience in higher education from 2018 to March 2026, and as a Coordinator of Academic Performance Evaluation and Quality Assurance (EQAUP), Master’s Program.
Her research interests encompass environmental economics, sustainable development, economic growth, renewable energy, the circular economy, green economy, climate change, and sustainability-related policy issues. She has published numerous scholarly articles in reputable international journals and actively contributes to academic research, quality assurance, and curriculum development initiatives.
Prof. Elimam currently serves as a member of several committees at the Department of Economics, including the Development and Quality Committee, Academic Affairs Committee, Course File Committee, Scientific Research Committee, and Student and Graduate Affairs Committee (2026).
In recognition of her commitment to academic excellence, she served on the Faculty of Economics and Administration (FEA) Award for Excellence in Teaching Committee (2020). She also participated in the funded research project “Intra-programs in Higher Education Between Hope and Reality – KAU Model” (2015).
Prof. Elimam is actively engaged in national and international professional associations. She is a member of the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), USA (2026), the American Economic Association (AEA), USA (since 2019), and the Saudi Economy Society (SEA), Saudi Arabia (since 2012). Additionally, she serves as a member of the Scientific Committee for the 7th Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Economics and Administration, King Abdulaziz University (2026).
Through her academic, research, and professional contributions, Prof. Elimam continues to promote excellence in environmental economics, sustainable development, and higher education, advancing knowledge and sustainable economic transformation in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
